Otto’s Ice House

Overview:

Now pouring along the River Walk in San Antonio’s lively Pearl District, Otto’s Ice House tips its hat to the juicy saga behind the famed Pearl Brewery featuring Otto Koehler, his wife Emma Koehler…and not one, but two other Emmas who brought his philandering days to an abrupt (and fatal) end in 1914.

With a wink to mid-century Americana, the brand blends barstool banter with 1940s-inspired flair—tall tales, hand-drawn doodles, and a splash of sass that invites tourists while keeping the local legends deliciously alive.

The interior shape of the seal draws inspiration from the riveted cylinder of a single-action revolver—a quiet nod to the fateful turn in Otto’s storied saga.
